The White House, Port Isaac, Cornwall

The White House is a Grade II listed harbourside cottage which has been in the family for 400 years. It is located in the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, well known for it's spectacular views, beautiful coastline and local seafood. The cottage is in a unique and wonderful location with outstanding harbour and sea views. The long attractive panelled sitting room, the dining room and kitchen plus all bedrooms have beautiful harbour and sea views. The sundrenched terrace which runs along the front of the house is a fantastic spot for breakfast and morning coffee or, later in the day, to relax and watch village life unfold with a glass of wine. You can watch the fishing boats come and go, returning with their catch in the evening. The village has a strong, thriving local community with the village pub, The Golden Lion, at the centre. There are some lovely seafood restaurants and shops selling local produce including a fishmonger, bakery, pasty and fudge shop. In the summer the Fishermen's Friends, recently signed by Universal Music, can be found singing on the harbour platt every Friday evening. The narrow streets are very picturesque and considered the second narrowest in England. Whilst the cottage is one of the few houses in the village to benefit from parking, the village itself retains it's timelessness with the lack of parking on the streets. Interior of The White House The White House is an extremely attractive cottage with galley kitchen, dining room with parquet floor, beamed ceiling and large window with view of the harbour. The long panelled sitting room is similar with two large windows overlooking the harbour and out to sea. There is also a WC downstairs. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms (one with double bed and two with 2 twin beds) and a bathroom. Services & facilities → Private car park for 2 cars next to the house
